It is impossible to overstate how big of a week this is for WE LIVE IN PUBLIC.  We are opening theatrically at one of the coolest theaters in one of the greatest cities in the world and this is truly the culmination of so much blood, sweat and tears.  The film is launching its theatrical run at the IFC Center in NYC on August 28th.  We have had so much incredible feedback and press and critical praise for both the film and for director Ondi Timoner along the way and we have enjoyed many successes over the course of the festival run, but this is certainly the biggest moment for our film since we premiered at Sundance (which we won!)

WE LIVE IN PUBLIC is a New York film and the opening of the film in NYC is bound to be another a historic event.  In addition to a post-screening Q+A’s with star Josh Harris and director Director Ondi Timoner, expect the unexpected throughout the New York run as the colorful characters from the doc itself — insiders and outsiders, artists, conspiracists, cultural pioneers and freaks — show up to the screenings.  Our Q+As on opening night will be webcast live on weliveinpublicthemovie.com.  If you can’t make it for the screenings, come tune in at 9:15pm and 11:25pm PST on Friday, August 28th to see the Q+A session webcast live!

To celebrate opening night, we are throwing a big party at B.East — bring your ticket stub for entry.  11pm.  Our infamous INTERROGATION BOOTH will be on hand to capture all you mad revelers as you give us your musings on this modern age and life in public.

WE LIVE IN PUBLIC gets a little risque exposure thanks to a submission over at Suicide Girls by heathervescent, who posted an article about our film and some of the questions it raises about the internet’s impact on our social interactions and our lives. We aren’t surprised that a website that redefined the feminine sexual image for online porn would have a viewership that is interested in the implications of living in public!
