Josh gave a lot of people a big chance in life i know i was there. He helped me more than i realised at the time. Also Ondi Timoners film is a true masterpiece not only the way it was filmed but especially the way it was edited. Ten years on it’s easy to use hindsight but this film marked the defining point in Americas and ultimately the worlds history when everything began to get very serious and bad. You don’t win ‘best doc’ at sundance for nothing people.
Ondi has so far won it TWICE !

Interesting how jealousy, bitterness and resentment often compel certain observers of a truly vital, challenging and ground-breaking cultural/artistic movement toward efforts to completely “trash” the leading genuis innovators and their collaborators. Well, actually, maybe, this tendency is not that interesting, and is more just simply predictable, a predatory instinctual tendency found often, but luckily not always .This retalitory tendency is worth pointing out, as it certainly dampens the spirit of those who might otherwise be inspired. As English James states, I was there too, involved with Psuedo, Quiet and I also became a personal friend of Josh Harris.
Corporations often distance themselves from artistic genuises or eccentrics, especially when profit and growth are the bottom line. Truly special gifts are often overlooked, or simply exploited for purposes of the Corporation.
Artists tend to comprehend those gifts, and that is why it took an artist like Ondi Timoner to bring the scope of Josh Harris’s visionary level as well as his intellectual and emotional complexity to life through her phenomenal cinematic skill.
It is true. Josh Harris gave a platform to many of the most splendid.
